Golden, flaky hand pies stuffed with seasoned beef and gooey melted cheese—perfectly crisp and irresistibly savory.
Ingredients

- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 cup Shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 2 Pie crust or puff pastry sheets
- 1 Onion (diced)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 Egg (for egg wash)
- Parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned; stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper. Cool slightly.
- Cut pie crust or puff pastry into rectangles or circles.
- Spoon beef filling onto each piece and add a mound of shredded cheese.
- Fold over, press edges with a fork to seal, and cut a small vent slit on top.
- Brush with egg wash and bake at 400°F for 20–25 minutes until golden and crisp.
- Let cool a few minutes so the cheesy filling settles.
- Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños to the beef mixture.
- These hand pies can be frozen before baking; just add a few extra minutes to the baking time if baking from frozen.
