Description

Moist vanilla cake soaked with cherry filling, layered with creamy frosting, and topped with glossy cherries for a sweet, fruity finish.


Ingredients

  • 1 box Vanilla cake mix (or homemade batter)
  • 1 can Cherry pie filling
  • 1 can Sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tub Whipped topping
  • 8 oz Cream cheese
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Butter

Instructions

  1. Bake the vanilla cake in a 9×13-inch pan according to package or recipe directions. Cool slightly.
  2. Use the end of a spoon to poke holes evenly across the warm cake.
  3. Pour sweetened condensed milk over the top, letting it soak into the holes.
  4. Spread half of the cherry pie filling into some of the holes and across the surface.
  5. Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth; fold in whipped topping.
  6. Spread frosting over the cake evenly.
  7. Spoon remaining cherries on top and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
