- 1 box Vanilla cake mix (or homemade batter)
- 1 can Cherry pie filling
- 1 can Sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tub Whipped topping
- 8 oz Cream cheese
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Butter
Instructions
- Bake the vanilla cake in a 9×13-inch pan according to package or recipe directions. Cool slightly.
- Use the end of a spoon to poke holes evenly across the warm cake.
- Pour sweetened condensed milk over the top, letting it soak into the holes.
- Spread half of the cherry pie filling into some of the holes and across the surface.
- Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth; fold in whipped topping.
- Spread frosting over the cake evenly.
- Spoon remaining cherries on top and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
