Ingredients

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for ganache)

  • ½ cup chopped toasted hazelnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a small round cake pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy, then beat in eggs.
  3. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and milk until smooth.
  4. Pour into pan and bake for 25–30 minutes, then let cool completely.
  5. For ganache, heat heavy cream until steaming, pour over chocolate chips, and whisk until glossy.
  6. Spread ganache over the cooled cake and press chopped hazelnuts onto the top and sides.
  7. Chill briefly to set before slicing and serving.
