- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup buttermilk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup chopped peanuts
- Caramel sauce for topping
- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease two 8-inch round cake pans.
- Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, and baking soda in one bowl; whisk buttermilk, eggs, oil, and vanilla in another.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth; pour into pans and bake for 30–35 minutes. Cool completely.
- For frosting, beat butter and peanut butter until fluffy, then add powdered sugar and cream until smooth.
- Layer cakes with frosting, caramel drizzle, and chopped peanuts in between.
- Frost the top and sides, adding more caramel and peanuts on top.
- Chill slightly before slicing for clean layers.
Notes
- Ensure the cakes are completely cool before frosting to prevent melting.
- For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
