Description

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped peanuts
  • Caramel sauce for topping
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 23 tbsp heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease two 8-inch round cake pans.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, and baking soda in one bowl; whisk buttermilk, eggs, oil, and vanilla in another.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth; pour into pans and bake for 30–35 minutes. Cool completely.
  4. For frosting, beat butter and peanut butter until fluffy, then add powdered sugar and cream until smooth.
  5. Layer cakes with frosting, caramel drizzle, and chopped peanuts in between.
  6. Frost the top and sides, adding more caramel and peanuts on top.
  7. Chill slightly before slicing for clean layers.

  • Ensure the cakes are completely cool before frosting to prevent melting.
  • For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
