- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1½ cups sugar
- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- ½ cup strawberry puree or jam
- Red or pink food coloring (optional)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- Whipped cream or buttercream frosting for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt; add alternately with milk until smooth.
- Divide batter into three bowls — leave one plain (vanilla), add cocoa to the second (chocolate), and strawberry puree plus coloring to the third (strawberry).
- Layer batters evenly in the pan: chocolate first, strawberry next, vanilla on top.
- Bake 35–40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean; cool completely.
- Frost with swirls of whipped or buttercream frosting in matching Neapolitan shades.

- For a more intense strawberry flavor, use fresh strawberry puree.
