Description

A creamy, classic deli chicken salad perfect for sandwiches, wraps, or meal prep — made extra quick with canned chicken.


Ingredients

  • 1 can of chicken (drained)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup celery (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup green onions (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1/2 cup red grapes or apples (chopped)
  • Optional: sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Drain canned chicken thoroughly, then break apart with a fork in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper; mix until creamy.
  3. Fold in chopped celery, green onions, and optional grapes/apples for a deli-style touch.
  4. Add sliced almonds if you want extra crunch.
  5. Taste and adjust with more salt, pepper, or lemon.
  6. Chill 10–20 minutes to help flavors blend.
  7. Serve on toasted bread with lettuce, in wraps, or over salad greens.
