Ingredients
- Ground beef (1 lb)
- Lasagna noodles (10–12 sheets)
- Ricotta cheese (1 cup)
- Mozzarella cheese (2 cups, shredded)
- Tomato sauce (2 cups)
- Onion (1 small, diced)
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
- Olive oil (2 tbsp)
- Parmesan cheese (½ cup)
- Fresh parsley or chives (for garnish)
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Cook lasagna noodles until al dente, then set upright around the edge of a greased springform or pie pan.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until soft. Add ground beef, season, and brown thoroughly. Stir in tomato sauce; simmer 10 minutes.
- Mix ricotta with half the mozzarella and a bit of salt and pepper.
- Spoon a layer of meat sauce into the pan, followed by a ricotta mixture layer. Repeat until full.
- Top generously with mozzarella and parmesan.
- Bake at 375°F for 30–35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Cool 10 minutes before slicing; garnish with fresh herbs.
