Ingredients

  • Ground beef (1 lb)
  • Lasagna noodles (10–12 sheets)
  • Ricotta cheese (1 cup)
  • Mozzarella cheese (2 cups, shredded)
  • Tomato sauce (2 cups)
  • Onion (1 small, diced)
  • Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
  • Olive oil (2 tbsp)
  • Parmesan cheese (½ cup)
  • Fresh parsley or chives (for garnish)
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook lasagna noodles until al dente, then set upright around the edge of a greased springform or pie pan.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until soft. Add ground beef, season, and brown thoroughly. Stir in tomato sauce; simmer 10 minutes.
  3. Mix ricotta with half the mozzarella and a bit of salt and pepper.
  4. Spoon a layer of meat sauce into the pan, followed by a ricotta mixture layer. Repeat until full.
  5. Top generously with mozzarella and parmesan.
  6. Bake at 375°F for 30–35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  7. Cool 10 minutes before slicing; garnish with fresh herbs.
