Ingredients
- Red velvet or red-colored cake batter
- Green cake batter (vanilla or pistachio)
- Eggs
- Flour
- Sugar
- Butter or oil
- Vanilla extract
- Green food coloring
- White glaze + green drizzle
- Optional: red candy hearts for decoration
Instructions
- Bake a thin red cake layer (using red velvet batter or vanilla tinted red). Cool completely.
- Use a heart-shaped cutter to punch out multiple red hearts; set aside.
- Prepare green cake batter and pour a thin layer into a greased loaf pan.
- Line the red hearts upright in a straight row down the center of the pan.
- Carefully pour remaining green batter around and over the hearts to cover them fully.
- Bake 45–55 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean from the green portion; cool completely.
- Drizzle cake with white glaze and green icing, adding small red candies for decoration. Slice to reveal the hidden heart!
