- 1 egg (for egg wash)

- Parmesan (optional)
- Small star toppers (cheese or puff pastry cutouts)
Instructions
- Thaw puff pastry, then cut each sheet into long strips.
- Layer a strip of ham and a strip of cheese onto each pastry strip.
- Starting from the bottom, accordion-fold or twist upward to create a tree shape, wider at the base and narrower at the top.
- Secure with a skewer if needed and place on a parchment-lined tray.
- Brush with egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds or Parmesan.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes until puffed and deeply golden.
- Brush with warm garlic butter and top with a tiny cheese or pastry star.
