Description

Flaky puff pastry spiraled with savory ham and melty cheese, twisted into adorable golden Christmas trees.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 12 slices sliced ham
  • 12 slices sliced cheese (Swiss, mozzarella, or cheddar)
  • 1/4 cup garlic butter (melted butter + garlic + parsley)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Sesame seeds or everything seasoning (for topping)
  • Parmesan (optional)
  • Small star toppers (cheese or puff pastry cutouts)

Instructions

  1. Thaw puff pastry, then cut each sheet into long strips.
  2. Layer a strip of ham and a strip of cheese onto each pastry strip.
  3. Starting from the bottom, accordion-fold or twist upward to create a tree shape, wider at the base and narrower at the top.
  4. Secure with a skewer if needed and place on a parchment-lined tray.
  5. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds or Parmesan.
  6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes until puffed and deeply golden.
  7. Brush with warm garlic butter and top with a tiny cheese or pastry star.
