- 1 Onion, diced
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Ginger, grated (optional)
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste or hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp Rice vinegar or lime juice
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp Sesame oil (optional)
- Green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sauté onion until softened, then add garlic (and ginger if using).
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up well.
- Stir in diced bell peppers and cook until just tender-crisp.
- Add soy sauce and tomato paste/hoisin; toss until glossy and coated.
- Finish with vinegar or lime juice and a drizzle of sesame oil.
- Serve hot over rice and garnish with green onions if desired.
