Description

Maraschino Cherry Chocolate Chip Cookies are soft, chewy pink cookies bursting with cherry flavor and melty chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • Unsalted butter (½ cup, softened)
  • Granulated sugar (¾ cup)
  • Egg (1 large)
  • Maraschino cherry juice (¼ cup)
  • Vanilla extract (1 tsp)
  • All-purpose flour (2 cups)
  • Baking soda (½ tsp)
  • Salt (¼ tsp)
  • Chopped maraschino cherries (¾ cup)
  • Chocolate chips (1 cup)

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; beat in egg, vanilla, and cherry juice.
  2. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt separately, then fold into wet ingredients.
  3. Stir in chopped cherries and chocolate chips.
  4. Chill dough 20 minutes for thicker cookies.
  5. Scoop onto a lined baking sheet and bake 10–12 minutes.
  6. Cool 5 minutes on the pan before transferring to a rack.
  7. Add extra chocolate chips on top while warm for the bakery look.

Notes

  • For thicker cookies, chilling the dough is recommended.
