Description

One-Skillet Baked Caprese Chicken features tender, juicy chicken breasts smothered in melty mozzarella, roasted tomatoes, basil, and a balsamic finish.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Chicken breasts
  • 8 oz Fresh mozzarella
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup Fresh basil
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic glaze or vinegar

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Sear chicken in an oven-safe skillet with olive oil until golden on both sides.
  3. Add cherry tomatoes around the chicken.
  4. Top each breast with slices of fresh mozzarella.
  5. Bake at 400°F for 15–20 minutes until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted.
  6. Scatter chopped basil on top.
  7. Finish with a drizzle of balsamic glaze and serve hot.

Notes

  • Ensure chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Feel free to substitute other herbs if desired.
