Instructions
- Beat egg whites with salt and cream of tartar until foamy.
- Gradually add sugar while whipping to stiff, glossy peaks.
- Blend in a few drops of peppermint or vanilla extract.
- Gently fold in finely crushed peppermint candy.
- Pipe meringue swirls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 225°F (110°C) for 60–90 minutes until crisp and dry.
- Cool completely in the oven with the door cracked open.
