Description

A fun, shareable twist on the classic Philly—tender steak, peppers, onions, and melty cheese wrapped in golden crescent dough.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can Crescent roll dough
  • 1 lb Thinly sliced steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 8 oz Provolone cheese
  • 1 Bell pepper
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • Optional: mushrooms
  • 1 Egg wash (1 egg + splash of water)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C / 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Sauté steak in olive oil with salt, pepper, and garlic powder; remove from heat.
  3. Sauté peppers and onions until tender; combine with the cooked steak.
  4. Arrange crescent triangles in a ring, points facing outward.
  5. Spoon steak mixture onto the wide ends and top with provolone cheese.
  6. Fold points over filling and tuck underneath to seal.
  7. Brush with egg wash and bake for 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding mushrooms to the steak mixture.
  • Ensure the crescent dough is sealed well to prevent filling from leaking during baking.
  • Serve warm for the best taste and texture.
