- 1 head green cabbage
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Boil whole cabbage in salted water for 5–6 minutes until leaves soften; separate and drain.
- In a skillet, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until fragrant; add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Mix cooked beef with rice, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Place 2–3 tablespoons of filling in each cabbage leaf, fold sides in, and roll tightly.
- Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce in a baking dish, arrange rolls seam-side down, and top with remaining sauce.
- Cover with foil and bake 45–50 minutes until tender and bubbling.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
- These rolls can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- Leftovers can be frozen for up to 3 months.
