Ingredients

  • Ground lamb
  • Potatoes (for mash)
  • Beef or lamb stock
  • Onion
  • Carrots (diced)
  • Green peas
  • Garlic (minced)
  • Tomato paste
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Butter
  • Milk or cream
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Fresh thyme or parsley

Instructions

  1. Boil potatoes until tender; mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until soft.
  3. Add ground lamb and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, stock, carrots, and herbs; simmer until thick.
  5. Fold in peas, then transfer filling to a baking dish.
  6. Spread mashed potatoes evenly over the top; roughen with a fork.
  7. Bake until bubbling and golden, about 40–45 minutes; rest briefly before serving.
