Ingredients

  • Beef short ribs
  • Smoked gouda cheese
  • Pizza dough
  • Heavy cream
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Fresh basil or parsley
  • Olive oil
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Mozzarella (for topping, optional but recommended)

Instructions

  1. Slowly braise short ribs until deeply tender; shred and set aside with juices.
  2. Sauté sliced onion until caramelized; add garlic and cook briefly.
  3. Simmer heavy cream with smoked gouda until smooth and velvety; season lightly.
  4. Stretch pizza dough onto a hot stone or baking sheet.
  5. Spread gouda cream sauce over dough, then layer short ribs and onions.
  6. Add mozzarella if using and bake until crust is blistered and cheese bubbles.
  7. Finish with fresh herbs and slice while hot.

Notes
