Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch sheet pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk sugar, oil, eggs, buttermilk, vanilla, vinegar, and red coloring until smooth.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients and pour into prepared pan.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean; cool completely.
- Beat cream cheese and butter until fluffy, then blend in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
- Frost cooled cake and sprinkle with toasted pecans for the perfect Southern touch.
