- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a large baking dish.
- Cook egg noodles until just al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, melt butter and sauté onion and garlic until soft; whisk in flour to form a roux.
- Slowly add beef broth and cream, stirring until thick and smooth; mix in sour cream and mustard.
- Fold cooked noodles and meatballs into the sauce until fully coated.
- Transfer mixture to baking dish, top with shredded cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden; garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, you can use low-fat cream and cheese.
- Feel free to add vegetables like peas or spinach for extra nutrition.
