Ingredients
- Thick-cut bread
- Eggs
- Cheddar cheese (shredded)
- Crispy bacon
- Butter
- Chives
- Salt + pepper
- Optional: Monterey Jack, hot sauce
Instructions
- Scramble eggs gently with butter, salt, and pepper until soft and creamy; stir in some cheddar.
- Cook bacon until crispy and set aside.
- Butter one side of each bread slice; place buttered side down in a skillet.
- Layer cheese → scrambled eggs → bacon → more cheese → top slice of bread.
- Cook on medium, pressing gently, until golden and melty; flip and toast the other side.
- Slice in half for maximum cheesy melt.
- Finish with chopped chives.
