Description

Moist banana cake topped with creamy chocolate frosting and fresh banana slices.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour blend
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate (for frosting)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Whipped cream (optional topping)
  • Banana slices (for garnish)
  • Chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line or grease a 9-inch square pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk mashed bananas, melted butter, sugars, eggs, yogurt, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Stir in gluten-free flour, baking soda, and salt just until combined.
  4. Pour into pan and bake 30–35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  5. Heat heavy cream until steaming, pour over chopped chocolate, and stir until smooth and glossy. Let thicken slightly.
  6. Spread chocolate frosting over cooled cake. Top with banana slices, a dollop of whipped cream, and chopped walnuts before serving.
