Description

Creamy, savory comfort food made easy with frozen meatballs and bold Nordic flavor.


Ingredients

  • Frozen beef meatballs
  • Heavy cream
  • Smoked paprika
  • Fresh dill
  • Butter
  • Onion, finely minced
  • Garlic
  • Beef broth
  • Dijon mustard
  • Soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Panko breadcrumbs (optional for topping or thickening)

Instructions

  1. Bake or pan-sear frozen meatballs until golden and heated through; set aside.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter and sauté onion until soft; add garlic briefly.
  3. Sprinkle in smoked paprika and stir until fragrant.
  4. Pour in beef broth and cream; simmer gently until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in mustard, soy sauce, salt, and pepper; adjust seasoning.
  6. Add meatballs back to the sauce and simmer until coated and tender.
  7. Finish with plenty of chopped dill and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, add panko breadcrumbs.
  • Adjust the amount of smoked paprika to taste.
  • Fresh dill can be substituted with dried dill if necessary.
