Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 Egg whites
  • 1 1/2 cups Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Peppermint extract
  • Red holiday sprinkles
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 225°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar and salt until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff, glossy peaks form.
  4. Mix in vanilla and peppermint extract gently.
  5. Pipe small swirls onto prepared baking sheets.
  6. Sprinkle tops lightly with red holiday sprinkles.
  7. Bake for 2 hours, then turn off oven and let meringues cool completely inside before serving.
