Instructions

- Mix in flour, baking powder, and buttermilk alternately; tint batter with blue food coloring.
- Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25–30 minutes, then cool completely.
- Spread a thick layer of cream frosting between the cakes.
- Frost the entire cake and pipe decorative swirls on top with blue and white frosting.
- Chill before slicing to reveal the bold, beautiful blue layers.
