- 1 sheet pizza dough or puff pastry
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 20–25 pepperoni slices
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- ½ cup pizza or marinara sauce (plus more for dipping)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out pizza dough, spreading sauce down the center lengthwise.
- Layer mozzarella and pepperoni over the sauce.
- Cut diagonal strips along both sides of the dough, then braid strips over the filling.
- Brush with melted butter and sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan on top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Garnish with parsley and serve warm with marinara for dipping.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add sliced jalapeños or crushed red pepper flakes.
- Feel free to substitute the pepperoni with your favorite toppings.
- Make sure to seal the braid well to prevent the filling from leaking out.
