Description

Ingredients

  • 3 Leeks
  • 1 cup Heavy cream or crème fraîche
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly wash leeks and slice them thinly (white and light green parts).
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over low heat.
  3. Add leeks, lightly salt, cover, and cook gently for 15–20 minutes until very soft.
  4. Uncover and allow any excess moisture to evaporate.
  5. Stir in cream, season with pepper and a pinch of nutmeg.
  6. Simmer another 5–10 minutes until silky and creamy. Adjust seasoning and serve warm.
