- 3 Leeks
- 1 cup Heavy cream or crème fraîche
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Thoroughly wash leeks and slice them thinly (white and light green parts).
- Melt butter in a large skillet over low heat.
- Add leeks, lightly salt, cover, and cook gently for 15–20 minutes until very soft.
- Uncover and allow any excess moisture to evaporate.
- Stir in cream, season with pepper and a pinch of nutmeg.
- Simmer another 5–10 minutes until silky and creamy. Adjust seasoning and serve warm.
