Description

A rich, fudgy chocolate filling layered under toasted pecans in a buttery flaky crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups Pecans (halves + chopped)
  • 8 oz Semi-sweet chocolate (melted)
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 cup Corn syrup (light or dark)
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 Unbaked 9-inch pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place unbaked pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and crimp edges.
  2. In a bowl, whisk eggs, corn syrup, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  3. Stir in melted semi-sweet chocolate until fully combined and glossy.
  4. Sprinkle chopped pecans into the crust, then pour chocolate filling over them. Arrange pecan halves on top in a decorative layer.
  5. Bake 50–60 minutes until the center is just set but slightly soft in the middle.
  6. Cool completely (at least 2 hours) to allow filling to firm up before slicing.

Notes

  • Ensure the pie cools completely for the best texture.
  • Can be served with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
