Description
Bright, nutty, cheesy Brussels sprouts caramelized to perfection with a punch of lemon and freshly grated parmesan.
Ingredients
- Brussels sprouts (halved)
- Fresh lemon juice + zest
- Parmesan cheese
- Pecans (toasted)
- Olive oil
- Butter (optional for richness)
- Garlic
- Salt & pepper
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Slice Brussels sprouts in half and pat dry.
- Heat oil (and butter if using). Place sprouts cut-side down and cook until deeply golden.
- Add garlic, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes; sauté for 1–2 minutes.
- Add lemon zest and a squeeze of lemon juice. Toss well.
- Sprinkle a heavy layer of freshly grated parmesan.
- Add toasted pecans for crunch.
- Serve hot as a holiday or everyday side.

- Adjust the amount of lemon juice to taste.
- For extra richness, include butter when sautéing.
