Description

Bright, nutty, cheesy Brussels sprouts caramelized to perfection with a punch of lemon and freshly grated parmesan.


Ingredients

  • Brussels sprouts (halved)
  • Fresh lemon juice + zest
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Pecans (toasted)
  • Olive oil
  • Butter (optional for richness)
  • Garlic
  • Salt & pepper
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice Brussels sprouts in half and pat dry.
  2. Heat oil (and butter if using). Place sprouts cut-side down and cook until deeply golden.
  3. Add garlic, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes; sauté for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Add lemon zest and a squeeze of lemon juice. Toss well.
  5. Sprinkle a heavy layer of freshly grated parmesan.
  6. Add toasted pecans for crunch.
  7. Serve hot as a holiday or everyday side.

  • Adjust the amount of lemon juice to taste.
