Ingredients

  • Cooked long-grain rice (day-old preferred)
  • Beef steak (thinly sliced)
  • Yellow onion (sliced)
  • Eggs
  • Green onions
  • Garlic
  • Soy sauce or gluten-free tamari
  • Oyster sauce (optional)
  • Sesame oil
  • Neutral cooking oil
  • Carrots or mixed vegetables
  • Salt & black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a hot wok or skillet and sear beef quickly until browned; remove.
  2. Add more oil and sauté onions until soft and lightly caramelized.
  3. Stir in garlic and vegetables; cook until tender.
  4. Push everything aside and scramble eggs in the pan.
  5. Add rice, breaking it up and frying until hot and slightly crisp.
  6. Return beef to the pan; season with soy sauce and sesame oil.
  7. Toss with green onions, adjust seasoning, and serve hot.

Notes
