- 3–4 lbs Beef roast
- 2 cups Beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Mashed potatoes (for serving)
- 1 Onion, sliced
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp Dried thyme
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Cornstarch
- 1/4 cup Water
- White or Texas toast (for serving)
Instructions
- Place beef roast in the slow cooker and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme.
- Add sliced onion over the beef.
- Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
- Cover and cook on LOW until beef is fork-tender (about 8 hours).
- Remove beef and shred or cube gently.
- Thicken gravy by stirring cornstarch mixed with water into the slow cooker; heat until glossy.
- Serve beef and gravy over mashed potatoes with bread on the side.
Notes
- For best results, use a well-marbled beef roast.
- Adjust seasoning to taste before serving.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
