Ingredients

  • 34 lbs Beef roast
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Mashed potatoes (for serving)
  • 1 Onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Dried thyme
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • White or Texas toast (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Place beef roast in the slow cooker and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme.
  2. Add sliced onion over the beef.
  3. Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW until beef is fork-tender (about 8 hours).
  5. Remove beef and shred or cube gently.
  6. Thicken gravy by stirring cornstarch mixed with water into the slow cooker; heat until glossy.
  7. Serve beef and gravy over mashed potatoes with bread on the side.
