Description

Crisp buttery crackers filled with silky smoked salmon and herbed cream cheese — elegant, zesty, and perfect for festive gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 round buttery crackers
  • 4 oz smoked salmon (finely chopped)
  • 6 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill (chopped, plus extra for rolling)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, lemon juice, dill, garlic powder, and pepper until smooth.
  2. Gently fold in chopped smoked salmon.
  3. Spread a generous layer on 12 crackers, then top with another cracker to make mini sandwiches.
  4. Roll the cream cheese edges in fresh dill for a decorative and flavorful border.
  5. Chill 10–15 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve on a platter with lemon wedges for a fresh finish.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cream cheese mixture.
  • These canapés are best served fresh but can be prepared a few hours in advance and chilled.
