- 4 slices of rye or sourdough bread
- 8 oz sliced corned beef
- 4 slices Swiss or provolone cheese
- 2 tbsp butter (softened)
- Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Butter one side of each bread slice and sprinkle lightly with garlic powder.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Place one slice buttered-side down, add cheese, corned beef, and optional mustard, then top with another bread slice.
- Grill 3–4 minutes per side until the bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Press gently with a spatula for that perfect crispy crust.
- Slice in half and garnish with a sprinkle of thyme or parsley.
- Serve hot, with cheese stretching between the layers.
