Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C) and peel the onions, trimming the root slightly so they sit flat.
  2. Cut a deep cross into the top of each onion without cutting through the bottom.
  3. Place the onions in foil or a small baking dish; stuff butter into the center cuts.
